Core rod made of glass fiber plastic (GRP)

These fiberglass core rods are pultruded and are therefore extremely robust and flexible at the same time, but have a high basic strength - this is ideal for the construction of short swords, foamed sword blades and daggers/knives up to 100cm total length.
Important NOTE:
Core rods should always be installed with professional tip protection on both ends, as these can lead to injuries if they escape from a foam weapon. The processing must be carried out with gloves, as GRP always releases tiny splinter particles and these can be very unpleasant on the skin and even lead to blood poisoning. Respiratory protection for the mouth and nose is also recommended, as the particles can cause irritation to the respiratory tract during processing.
